Louis Robinson, another immigrant from East Europe, donated the land on which the JCRS dairy farm was created, providing patients with fresh milk and eggs daily. Robinson and his family founded the successful Robinson Dairy business, and his descendants continued to take an active role in Jewish communal affairs for five generations. Upon Louis Robinson’s death in 1923, the JCRS trustees issued a special resolution to honor his many contributions: “The JCRS was fortunate enough to acquire his individual service, his constant attention, his whole-souled devotion over a long period of years, and under his ministrations, the Sanatorium of the Jewish Consumptives’ Relief Society literally became verdant and bloomed and fructified.” The Robinson Family Papers, B289,
