Mrs. Fannie E. Lorber was one of the founders of the Denver Sheltering Home, which opened in 1908. She is shoveling dirt for a groundbreaking of the Lorber Building, with many men and women looking on. The Sheltering Home began as a home for the children of tubercular patients who came to the sanitoriums in Denver, Colo.
